Catholic Family News Announces Appointment of Brian M. McCall as New Editor-in-Chief

BUFFALO, NY, June 3, 2018 Catholic Family News (CFN) announces today that Brian M. McCall has accepted the position of Editor-in-Chief of CFN effective June 1, 2018. Mr. McCall assumes ultimate editorial responsibility for the publication of the monthly journal and online content, as well as the organization of the annual CFN conference.

“I am honored to assume the awesome responsibility of piloting this incredible institution that has fought in the trenches for the restoration of Tradition for so many years,” said Mr. McCall. “I look forward to working with the excellent pool of writers and Managing Editor Matt Gaspers to continue the tradition of clearly articulating the message of the Traditional Catholic Movement, which is none other than the perennial message of the Catholic Church. I remain committed to the two-fold aspect of the mission that has guided CFN since its founding, namely: (1) to proclaim the beautiful and unchanging truths of the Catholic Faith and (2) to denounce the destructive regime of Modernist novelty that has been obscuring the beauty of Catholic Tradition for the past half-century and which shows no sign of abating.”

Catholic attorney and author Christopher Ferrara, a longtime writer for and supporter of CFN, commented, “I have worked with Brian for many years on a variety of projects and benefited greatly from his pre-publication comments on my book Liberty, the God That Failed. I am confident that he will provide a steady hand of direction for the work of CFN.”

Susan Vennari, widow of the longtime CFN Editor John Vennari, similarly stated, "Brian thoroughly understands, and will be faithful to, the direction my husband gave to the apostolate of CFN for over two decades.”
